To DriveShop Clients & Media Partners,
We want to share with you the steps we are taking to provide for ongoing operations at DriveShop in response to recent developments in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Continued Press and Media Fleet Operations
We appreciate the critical importance of an ongoing press and media fleet operation as so many drive events, auto shows and other activities are being canceled at a time that coincides with important new model launches happening across the industry. Rest assured that DriveShop is taking the necessary steps to continue uninterrupted press and media fleet operations in supporting the needs of our automotive clients, journalists, media and content partners during the coming weeks and months ahead.
Expanded Cleaning Procedures
The health and safety of our employees, journalists, media and content partners is a key consideration for how we operate every day. Consistent with recent guidance on the surface transfer behavior of COVID-19, we have implemented new cleaning and disinfectant procedures across vehicle operations in each of our offices. DriveShop vehicle handlers are washing hands before and after each vehicle delivery and pick-up. During vehicle preparations, DriveShop vehicle handlers now wear general purpose nitrile gloves and apply disinfectant to vehicle interiors including all seats, seat belts, steering wheel and controls, door handles, touch screens, knobs and dials, and surfaces within the normal reach of drivers and passengers.
No Contact Vehicle Delivery and Pick-Ups
DriveShop vehicle handlers are offering no-contact vehicle delivery and pick-up procedures. Borrowed Vehicle Agreements should be executed online via DocuSign prior to loan deliveries to avoid any contact with documents or mobile devices during the vehicle delivery process. Keys are being wiped down and disinfected before being provided to the loan recipient at delivery. DriveShop vehicle handlers maintain at least a six foot distance and wear a mask during the vehicle delivery and pick-up process.
Mandatory Work From Home
Starting March 9th, 2020 and until further notice, DriveShop implemented a mandatory work-from-home for all non-essential vehicle operations personnel. Our online Fleet Management System and technology infrastructure that connects program management, vehicle operations, accounting and service teams across the country has enabled us to seamlessly adjust to support a work-from-home model with all staff that are not part of vehicle operations in our local offices. Moreover, any vehicle operations staff who has any symptoms of illness is instructed to stay home or leave work immediately and notify their supervisor. In addition, staff working in DriveShop facilities, supporting deliveries, and on site at events will wear masks to prevent exposure.
Our hearts and thoughts go out the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event. We appreciate and give sincere support to the healthcare workers, first responders, and frontline local governments across the globe that are working to contain this coronavirus and provide for the needs of our communities.
Sincerely,
The DriveShop Team
